THE Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council has agreed its budget and precept for the 2019/20 financial year with no increases for the third year in a row.
Councillors voted for no increase in the parish council precept for the third year running. This means there will be no increase in the parish council component of parishioners’ council tax bills.
A parish council spokesperson said: “The councillors feel that where the public have been hit by austerity measures over many years, they did not want to add to this and felt it was important that they continue to provide their services without asking for more money from the council tax payers in the parish.”
