THE Bude Foodbank has received a staggering one and a quarter tonnes of food over the last two months.
The food has been donated by individuals, eight local schools and twelve churches of different denominations.
Thanks have been extended to everyone in Bude and the wider area who have donated an item to make this amount possible.
Over the last two months, the Bude Foodbank has also signed up 14 more distributors in the Bude and Holsworthy area and, in conjunction with Holsworthy Christians Together opened a satellite Foodbank in Holsworthy, all of which means that even more families can be helped.
In the last 6 months Bude Foodbank has issued 98 food parcels to 130 adults and 68 children weighing 1.337 tonnes.
