THE proposal of a one-bedroom dwelling in Bude has received no objections from the Bude-Stratton Town Council’s planning committee.
The committee met on November 24 to discuss the town’s planning applications, among them being an application to build a one-bedroom dwelling on vacant land opposite the former SWEB depot at Kings Hill Close, Bude.
Chairman of the planning committee, Cllr Lee Bartrop, said: “It is in a residential area, and the principle is okay because it’s on developmental land.”
Cllr Gordon Wint added: “There’s nothing to object to.”
Town mayor, Cllr Lea Deely, said that the proposal could ‘only improve the area’, with Cllr Bartrop agreeing, saying it is close to the town.
With the committee having no objections to the application, Cllr Deely said: “If it’s their property and they want to make improvements, then good luck to them. It will probably bring money into the town.”
The final decision will be made by Cornwall Council plans committee.
