From J Conway: I read with incredulity that the No Drinking Areas are to be marginally extended. This will only push the problem to the adjoining areas such as The Zig Zag, Priory Park, St Thomas¹ Church Yard and Prior's Bridge. The activities these zones are supposed to curtail are deemed to be anti social so why not cover the entire parish? The cost is clearly minimal (I would be happy to fund a sign as would many other residents) and the police do not need to arrest anyone with a can of beer in their hand, just those acting in an anti social manner. If you live outside the current area please bombard the police and your local councillors with complaints of each incident which occurs so that the designated area is extended and all residents are afforded the same protection.
