Sir, As much as I liked the banter going back and fore about TSC over the last few weeks, it has come to my attention that there is no consistency in what the council deem appropriate and not in our fair town. I haven't said anything up until now as it was all said before and no doubt I would be accused of favouritism, but let me explain. The Sailing Club is already an established club that just wants to change a few things for the better, not much wrong with that, I would say. Let's face it, nobody complains about all the other clubs that are open to the public, such as the Rugby and the Golf Clubs among others. However, the council doesn't seem to want to object to a café applying for a liquor licence in the harbour area or for a new 'pub'. OK the new pub is in the back of an existing one, but because it has a separate entrance, it has to apply for a separate licence. As I said, absolutely no consistency from the TTC over licences. Oh and congratulations to all who put the research from members, time and effort to get TSC its new and improved licence to benefit all.
