CORNWALL Councillor for Launceston Central, Adam Paynter (Lib Dem), is warning people using the B3254, linking Launceston to Bude and beyond, to be aware of the upcoming night closure of the road at Yeolmbridge.
The road closures will take place at Yeolmbridge while essential resurfacing work is carried out.
Advance notices are in place to warn motorists that the road between Ladycross and St Stephens will be closed from 7pm until 6am on Thursday, November 3, and then open again for the weekend, to then close again on the evening of Monday, November 7 until Thursday, November 10.
Diversions will be in place to advise drivers of an alternative route.
Cllr Paynter said: “I’m really pleased to have secured extra funding for these resurfacing works, which should really smarten up the road along this important approach to Launceston.
“The current surface is badly in need of repair to stop potholes this winter. I pushed for the resurfacing to be included in the extra spending on road repairs that was agreed by Cornwall Council cabinet earlier this year.”
