A NEW vicar has been officially appointed for the parishes of Week St Mary.

The Week St Mary Circle of Parishes welcomed the Rev Tony Windross, who was inducted as Rector of the Benefice at a special service of installation conducted by the Bishop of St Germans, the Right Reverend Christopher Goldsmith last Thursday.

The Rev Windross and his wife Pat were supported by a large group of parishioners from his former parish at Hythe in Kent and the church was full of well-wishers from the benefice communities who provided a sumptuous supper and lifted the roof with their enthusiastic singing.
