THE Lions Club of Launceston has purchased a seat, which has been placed by the tennis courts in Coronation Park.
This is part of the legacy programme to commemorate 100 years of Lions Clubs International, and it also commemorates the twinning of the Launceston Lions Club with the Lions Club of Gibraltar and the Lions Club of Windmill Hill, Launceston, Tasmania.
It is hoped that this will enable many people to enjoy a rest when walking within the park.
Special thanks were expressed to Mike Cory, Patrick Sandercock and Stephen Sanders for their assistance with the placement of this project.
