THE Bude and District Model Aircraft Flying Club recently held their Annual General Meeting. One of the items discussed was the need for new members.

The flying club was formed over six years ago and membership has remained steady with between 20 to 30 members. Club members fly a wide variety of models, ranging from power, gliders and helicopters, including numerous electric powered models.

To introduce potential new members to the club we are holding a meeting at the Bullers Arms in Marhamchurch. This will be in the Function Room on Tuesday, February 9 at 7.30pm.

Members will have a variety of models on display and will be very happy to discuss their hobby with you. A computer will also be set up with a simulated flying programme, enabling people to try their skills with a wide variety of models.

As a result of this meeting, anyone wishing to further their interest will be invited to fly a club model aeroplane with one of their instructors, at a later date.

All ages are welcome to attend the meeting, although an adult should accompany children under 14 years of age.

For further information prior to the meeting please call David Patrick, club chairman on 01288 362905.
