SUNDAY, May 29 saw an invasion of Morris Dancers from Devon at Polson Bridge near Launceston.
The ladies of Cogs and Wheels were walking and dancing their way from their home village of Sticklepath, raising money for the cancer support charity FORCE.
However, on the bridge they found their way barred by Cornish side, Cat's Eyes who demanded to know their reason for crossing the border. On receiving a satisfactory reply, both squires shook hands and Cat's Eyes escorted the visiting team for the last two miles of their 24 mile journey.
Meanwhile, at Launceston Castle, other Morris sides and supporters had gathered to welcome the walkers, and visitors were entertained by Exmoor Border, Heather and Gorse, Newton Bushel and some dancers from the Cogs and Wheels side.
