THE members of Sir Bevil Granville Marinas Lodge No. 1231 met at the Masonic hall in Bude for the ceremony of installing a new master on Friday, September 15.
Unfortunately the retiring master, Peter Lambourn, on completion of a very successful year, was unable to attend, so the work was carried out by past master, Mike Johns.
The new master, Glyn Prout, appointed and invested the new team officers, who will work with him for one year in very competent manner.
The meeting was attended by the assistant provincial master, Christopher Hawkey, together with two past deputy provincial grand masters and a good number of other brethren representing the Masonic Province of Cornwall.
A cheque for £100 was presented to Christopher Hawket for the Cornwall Mark Benevolent Fund, and he thanked the members for their hospitality and generosity.
After the meeting, those present dined at the Masonic hall and the traditional toast to the new master was proposed. He thanked all present and pledged his support for the lodge.
