A LAUNCESTON clothing store has raised more than £300 for a children’s charity.

A number of New Look stores across Cornwall and Devon have collectively raised more than £15,000 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) after supporting them as their charity of the year.

Many fundraising activities took place in the stores, including the sale of CHSW smiley pin badges.

CHSW supports children with life limiting illnesses and their families.

Zoe Hummerstone, store manager of New Look Launceston, was proud of the £339.03 her store raised: “It was fantastic to be able to engage our customers and employees in fundraising for such a special charity. The support and care they offer local families at Little Harbour is incredible and we are very happy to have been able to support this.”

Sarah Stott, corporate partnerships fundraiser, said: “On behalf of the children and families at Little Harbour I would like to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic amount raised by the New Look stores. It is amazing to have so many employees engaged in fundraising for us and we really do appreciate every penny raised.”
