VOLUNTEERS have finished painting the railings outside the Cornish and Devon Post during a second Launceston Matters action day.

Helpers of all ages sanded down the railings and repainted them in smart black and gold Cornish colours on Friday, June 8.

Tesco and the Cornish and Devon kept volunteers supplied with snacks and drinks, and CORMAC donated more paint.

Liberal Democrat Cornwall Councillor Jade Farrington said: “Thank you to everyone who came to both sessions. It’s made such a big difference to this part of town, and it’s been brilliant to have more people getting in touch to say they would like to help with future projects. Together we can make a real change across Launceston.”

There will be more opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in future action days including litter picks, weeding, painting and more.
