THE official opening of the Dunheved House learning centre, at the recently refurbished former boarding house at Launceston College, took place last Thursday (March 21).
Various representatives and guests attended the event, including, governors and staff from Launceston College, Cornwall Council, members of the Corporation Board; the Combined Universities in Cornwall, Cornwall College, Preschool Learning Alliance, the architects (The Bailey Partnership, Plymouth) and builders (Pearce Construction, Barnstaple) and Head teachers from other North Cornwall schools.
Funding for the five year, £2.7-million project has come from a range of sources, including the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Convergence Programme, Cornwall Council, Cornwall College, Launceston College and the Savoy Educational Trust.
