A BUDE-BASED business has won an award at the inaugural Outset Cornwall Awards.

Sabine Konder, owner of the Three Chefs at Bude restaurant, was presented with an award for changing career and conquering new horizons at the ceremony, held at the Headland Hotel in Newquay.

The award focused on people's great ideas, their ability to overcome barriers, and their determination and self-belief to make a positive change in their lives.

In her acceptance speech Sabine said: "It really is an honor to win this award.

"Coming to a new country, starting a new career and making a success of it has been extremely hard, so I'm truly grateful for all the support Outset Cornwall has given me to help me get where I am."
