NEW facilities, unveiled at The Arthurian Centre on Friday (July 12), will provide 'creature comforts' during excavations.

The centre, established 16 years ago at Slaughterbridge, just outside Camelford, is now also the base of North Cornwall Heritage, which regularly hosts archaeology students from the University of Winchester as well as catering for anyone interested in Cornwall's heritage.

Thanks to a grant of over £20,000 from the East Cornwall Local Action Group, North Cornwall Heritage now has a camp site and new facilities such as office space, toilets and showers.
