DAVIDSTOW Community Windpower Ltd unveiled its new plans for Davidstow Community Windfarm at exhibitions earlier this week.
The footprint for the original project has been reduced by 20 per cent; comprising of 16 wind turbines rather than 20 turbines as it was originally designed.
If approved, the company hope to create a new 'Country Park' using Davidstow Woods as a natural resource to enhance and promote low key recreational activities including walking, cycling, horse riding, educational opportunities and ranger services. There will also be improvements to access within Davidstow Woods and improved access to and around Crowdy Reservoir.
