RESIDENTS of Advent celebrated the placing of a new bench in the village churchyard, with a blessing from Rev Jim Benton-Evans on Sunday, April 3. The funds were raised from last year's annual Advent Show, an event held to provide grants for use in the parish. It is in memory of former Advent resident, Rob Newberry, who passed away in 2010.
