NOT only does Camelford offer free car parking and toilets, but visitors are now being given a free shopping bag carrying the new town logo.

The town has also produced new free leaflets showing walks in and around Camelford.

Diane Taylor, a member of the town team, said: "We want to let everyone know about the warm welcome visitors receive when they stop in town.

"We are trying to encourage people to support our local shops and businesses."

The town team was given the task of spending £10,000 that Camelford received through the Portas Bid Scheme to increase footfall.

Graham and Helen Jeffs from Warbstow and Martin and Christine Ursell from Southampton, who were given bags, said: "Camelford is a very interesting town in terms of its buildings and shops. We were amazed to see just how much it has to offer.

"We will certainly be doing some of the walks."
