Min Whitfield has taken on the role of counsellor for the Launceston and District Fibromyalgia Support Group. Min (Margaret) is originally from Lancashire and worked for 21 years within Staffordshire Health and Social Care (Social Services). She has also worked for Devon Health and Social Care and has counselled for Relate, Cruise as well as working with people who have alcohol and drugs problems. She has vast experience working with individuals with mental health difficulties and adult and child abuse. Min will work alongside with the ME co-ordinator, support officer and benefits advisor. She is already a member of the committee and all her work will be voluntary. Min feels her most valuable experience to help the group is with her own chronic pain, fatigue, diabetes and fibromyalgia.
