NOT much fun you might have thought, looking at the weather on Bank Holiday Monday, but Blisland fun day and dog show organiser Pat Almond said 'we are made of sterner stuff here in Blisland'. Pat added: "Anyone who witnessed the marquee being erected on the village green in torrential rain would have known we meant business! "Sadly we had to cancel the dog show and barbecue, apologies to anyone we were unable to contact and who turned up with their dogs." Entertainment still went ahead in the village hall and included live music from 'Jumping Out', refreshments, car boot, tombola, ice creams, face painting, a scarecrow competition and a grand raffle. Pat said: "Despite moving to plan B we raised over £900. Well done everyone and many thanks for all your support."
