NEARLY 30 families will be entering the new year in smart new warm homes in Delabole.

A new development of 21 affordable homes for rent to local people has been completed by Cornwall Rural Housing Association (CRHA) at Quarry View, Delabole, and another six at nearby St Teath.

The residents have been picking up the keys to their brand new homes and have been moving in their furniture.

"It's been a real Christmas present to get a home like this," said Hannah Scarr, who has moved into a two-bedroom Delabole home with her nine-month-old daughter Remi. Hannah has been living in a one bedroom cottage in the village.
