MEMBERS of the Porth-Emmet, Bude Explorer Unit took part in the annual North Cornwall District Camel run incident night hike.

This year's event, on March 21 and 22, was based at Warbstow and organised by Jacobstow Scout Group.

Those taking part are given co-ordinates for checkpoints, which they used to navigate to their next challenge. The teams were awarded points at each challenge and the team with most points wins. This year's route was around ten miles.

Once all the teams were back at base everyone was treated to a fry-up before the prize-giving.

Porth-Emmet (Bude) entered one full team and another team made up of two unit members and three members from the Camel Explorers. The Bude/Camel team came first with the Porth-Emmet (Bude) team taking second.
