THE Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority recently re-elected Clr. Mike James as its chairman.
Clr. James originally took over the reins in 2013 from previous chairman Clr. Tony Brinsden.
He was elected by members at the annual general meeting of the National Park Authority at its head office in Llanion Park, Pembroke Dock, on Wednesday, June 17.
Authority member Mr. David Ellis is the new vice-chairman, taking over the role previously held by Mr. Ted Sangster.
Speaking after his re-election, Clr. James said: "I'd like to thank members for their continued support. I have thoroughly enjoyed my two years as chairman and look forward to working with members and officers to lead the authority through the challenges it faces in the coming year."
During his time as chairman, Clr. James has represented the Park Authority on the executive committee of National Parks Wales and the UK Association of National Park Authorities.
He is also a representative on the WLGA council and has provided evidence on behalf of the authority to the Williams Commission and the ongoing Review of Designated Landscapes in Wales.
Clr. James, who is from St. Dogmaels, joined the authority in 2010 and was elected vice-chairman in 2012.
At the meeting, Mrs. Gwyneth Hayward was re-elected chairman of the development management committee, with Clr. Rob Lewis re-elected as vice-chairman.
