KERNOW House in Launceston decided to celebrate National Elf Day recently.
Residents, their relatives and staff all got involved with the spirit of Elf Day on Friday, December 6, dressed up and held a fundraising event with the always popular 50 pence sale, a raffle and a coffee morning.
Proceeds from the fundraising will go to the local Huntingdon’s Disease Association and they raised £194.28.
The team have extended a huge thank you to everyone who supported the event.
General manager at Kernow House care home, Gail Griffiths, said: “This has been a huge amount of fun and it is wonderful to see residents and staff have some festive celebrations while supporting a charity close to our hearts.”
A resident at the home said: “It is a good amount raised and lovely to see so many people joining in.”
Kernow House care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, which is committed to delivering personalised care across its care homes and hospitals.
Kernow House provides nursing care for 84 residents from respite care to long term stays.
