CORNISH All Blacks Second Row Mike Myerscough has signed a full-time contract to play for the Cornish Pirates next season.
Mike, from Bude, said: "I've really enjoyed my time here over the past three seasons. Launceston were very kind to take me on loan from Bath and in my first season with Launceston we gained promotion to National 1 under the coaching staff of Jon and Chris. It was great to come back to Polson after playing here as an under 13 and 14.
"I wish the All Blacks all the best for next season. They are a great team and they really deserve their chance to show what they can do at a higher level over an extended run. Obviously I'll miss the crazy bus on the way home after away games."
He added: "My pre-season starts with the Pirates in early June and it'll be a challenge for me but I'm up for it and I'll always be looking out for Launceston's scores and I'll get down for games as often as I can."
Cornish All Blacks Head Coach Jon Hill had this to say about Mike: "At the club we are absolutely delighted that Mike has signed a full time professional deal in the Championship. He has been a great servant to the club and has been very loyal and passionate during his time in an All Black shirt.
"Mike is very popular with the players, coaches and spectators at Launceston and will of course always be welcome back here. He has such undoubted talent and a full time professional environment will ensure that he has the opportunity to reach his full potential. I'm sure he will be a great success at the Pirates and our loss is certainly their gain.
"Mike has now been passed fully fit for the remain of the season. That's a huge boost for us as we want to finish the season with a bang. We look forward to him hanging out in the backs as always and showing what a great rugby talent he is and I'm sure he will be wanting to sign off from the All Blacks on a very positive and winning note."
