Dear Editor,
As an ex-Ross-on-Wye resident and music teacher, I am keen to encourage any musicians interested in film music to get playing with The Film Orchestra which is just up the road.
Musicians with an interest in playing film music are invited to join The Film Orchestra in their Play-Through Day at St Edmund's Hall, Malvern College on Sunday, June 28th, between 11am and 4pm.
Music for the day will include classics such John Williams' as 'Jaws' and Bernard Herrmann's 'Psycho' plus music from the video game 'World of Warcraft', conducted by James Topp.
All musicians, all ages, grade 6+ welcome, particularly strings and brass.
The Film Orchestra (TFO) is unique as it is the 1st UK amateur orchestra to play only original music for film, TV and video games.
If you'd like some more information about the orchestra, visit: http://www.thefilmorchestra.com">www.thefilmorchestra.com or contact Jane Whittle 07590 431965
