BUDDING musicians around Camelford could get the chance to play at the town’s exciting upcoming event, Music in the Park, through the Camelford Introducing 2019 competition.

An exciting opportunity for young people aged ten to 25 has been organised by Camelford Town Council’s events working group, to win a £75 prize and a spot at the annual music event, Music in the Park, on June 1, Enfield Park, Camelford, playing alongside professional musicians including Dusk at Dawns and Callum Flew. Musicians and singers, either solo or in a band or group, are encouraged to enter this competition.

There will be two categories — ten to 16 years and 17 to 25 years. Winners in each category will win £75 and will get to play at Music in the Park, so any entrants must be available between 4pm and 5pm on June 1.

Those interested in getting their time to shine should send a clip of their music or a link to their music via Facebook Messenger to @CamelfordTC. Musicians are also encouraged to look out for promotions on Facebook, local press and in schools!

Closing date is Friday, April 26 and winners and runners up will be announced on May 3.
