THE ‘Abi’s Wish to Walk’ appeal was helped toward its halfway mark with an informal Musical Evening on Thursday, December 10, at Delabole Methodist Church.

The music was supplied by Abi’s great-granddad, Stuart Biddick, supported by relatives and friends.

The audience were treated to solos by Roger Nicholls, Stephanie Underdown and Ben Nicholls, who accompanied himself on guitar.

A male quartet of Stuart, Simon and Trevanion Biddick, and Roger Nicholls contributed nine items to the programme, which was completed by two sing-a-long opportunities.

The lady members of the church served nibbles, coffee and tea during the interval.

The Rev Bryan Ede welcomed people to the event, and offered a vote of thanks to the artistes at the conclusion of the evening.

Donations and the proceeds of a raffle resulted in £785 being raised for the appeal.
