AN EVENING of Music was held at Morwenstow Methodist Chapel on Sunday, September 2. Guest artistes were 'Twin Harmony,' a group of recording artistes from Penzance. Jenna and Morwenna, with their parents, sang a mixture of religious songs and virtuous songs from shows. Joan Sussex of Chilsworthy gave two recitations. The most memorable was entitled 'Somebody – nobody,' based on Proverbs 12:9, on the theme that its OK to be just as we are and not somebody important, as Jesus was just a 'nobody' during his time on earth. Colin Tape accompanied the congregational favourite hymns on the organ with his usual gusto, and he introduced the evening before Raymond Shaddick of Bude took over and entertained the audience with several amusing anecdotes.
