THE Friends of St Breward Church held a very successful evening of 'Music, Magic and Mystery' in the village hall on Tuesday, November 2.

The evening was opened with music from Charley Wickett and Molly Beare, two 10-year-old musicians from St Mabyn who so ably entertained the full house. They played nine pieces on the flute, with local music maestro Janet Elston, from St Breward, introducing and explaining each piece, as well as demonstrating just how difficult it is to play the flute — inviting audience participation to try and play a note.
