IT was a successful evening at the village hall at Blisland at the end of October when Johnny Cowling entertained to a full house with his singing and humour.
The evening included audience participation, especially with Sharon and George Loveridge on reaching 46 years married bliss.
Sandra Matthews, booking clerk and barmaid for the evening, was also a target for Johnny's humour, in which she participated with great hilarity.
A pasty meal was included in the evening.
This was the first entertainment in the village hall since its redecoration and £481 was raised towards the cost of the project.
Organisers expressed thanks to all who helped and to all who supported and went along to the enjoyable evening.
