AS WELL as the exisiting secure play area for children of all ages in Lewannick, a group of mums at Beacon View are hoping to set up another area on their housing estate.
On Sunday, August 11 the group held a successful fun day with over 100 attending. The group hopes to be able to install fencing around a green area at Beacon View so that their children can play safely by their homes.
It took 18 months of hard work and grants for the Lewannick Play Park Regeneration Committee (LPPRC), made up of the parish council, hall committee and parents, to regenerate the village play park, but the group of mums are hoping to create a simple but safe place closer to home.
