TWELVE out of the 14 local primary schools recently took part in the Spring Multi Sports Festival at Launceston College.
It was an opportunity for Year 3 and 4 children to come and have a go, improve their skills and have fun at the same time.
There were three different sports organised for the children to participate in: Tag Rugby, High 5 Netball and Badminton. In the Tag Rugby the children took part in a skill circuit and then went on to play small sided games. Whereas the children playing High 5 Netball and Badminton participated in a skill circuit and then swapped over so they had a chance to enjoy two different sports.
The whole event was led by the Sports Leaders from the college who once again did a superb job.
Participating schools of the Festival: Altarnun, Coads Green, Egloskerry, Launceston CP, Lewannick, North Petherwin, St Catherines, South Petherwin, St Stephens, Tregadillett, Trekenner, and Warbstow.
