THE third placed Cornish All Blacks gained another bonus point as they scored six tries against Nuneaton who are next to bottom in the league table. Director of rugby at Polson Jon Hill said "The challenge was to go up and get five points and we did it. We were a much better side side and better than out 36 points. If we had been firing on all cylinders we would have beaten them by much more."
The visiting pack was dominant in scrum and line-out, but it was only in the second half where the All Blacks turned their superiority into a decisive lead.
In the first half the All Blacks made unforced errors, with a failure to retain the ball.
The visitors opened the scoring with a good try in the 15th minute involving a lot of slick inter-passing with right wing Kieron Lewitt scoring for fly half Tony Yapp to convert.
Nuneaton replied with two penalties kicked by fly half Rickie Aley. Just after the hour the All Blacks produced seven or eight phases of play followed by a good break by full back Jon Fabian, taken on by Lewitt who off-loaded to Lewis Webb, and the scrum half touched down in the corner.
Three minutes from half time, after Nuneaton had continually collapsed the maul, the All Blacks were awarded a penalty try, Yapp converting, bringing the half time score to 6-19.
In the second half Nuneaton narrowed the gap with Aley dropping a goal but within three minutes, in the 45th minute, the All Blacks had posted probably one of the key scores with lock Bryn Jenkins going over from a maul with the forwards up there with him.
'A melee' involving several players soon after brought a red card for Nuneaton flanker Benjamin Avent for punching All Black lock Ben Hilton, who didn't escape censure, earning a yellow card himself. And soon after, the visitors Webb earned a sin-binning for stamping.
Nuneaton hit back, ten minutes later, All Black centre Jake Murphy had a clearance charged down and home full back Michael Moore gathered and went on to score.
However, the All Blacks momentum was now unstoppable and with ten minutes to go replacement hooker Darren Semmens had crossed again after a rolling maul. Yapp added the extras and the All Blacks were 31-14 up.
The visitors' sixth try was touched down by centre Ryan Westren rounding off a fluent threequarter move.
