A NUMBER of people are encouraging motorists to think before parking outside Bradworthy Primary School.
Several months ago, PCSO Raquel Rowe raised an issue concerning people parking inappropriately outside Bradworthy Primary Academy.
Farm machineries couldn’t go through and there was risk of children crossing the road and being in danger. PCSO Rowe delivered a road safety talk to the children and set up a road safety poster competition to use for road safety signs to be placed outside of the school.
A problem solving plan was raised, and Bradworthy parish councillors, county councillor Barry Parsons, Bradworthy Primary School and PCSO Rowe had to work together to solve the problem.
Cllr Parsons has been helping to fund the project, parish councillors have been coming up with ideas with the road safety frame and support has been shown by headteacher, Richard Stephenson.
Alastair Hollies, Luke Harding and Callum Brown won the poster competition, which have since been framed and placed outside the school.
The road safety frame is placed outside of the school on a regular basis.
