FOR the second year in succession, the revived tradition of Morwenstow's 'Blessing of the Sea' service took place in bright sunshine on the beach at Duckpool on Sunday afternoon (August 18).
The Vicar of Kilkhampton and Morwenstow, the Rev Richard Ward-Smith, officiated.
Following a procession from King William's Bridge led by Bude Town Band and with Arthur Bryant carrying a ceremonial cross, the service attracted a large group of local worshippers as well as holidaying families taking a break from sunbathing, surfing and sandcastles.
