MORRISONS Bude has been doing their bit for charity recently, having raised over £1,000 for CLIC Sargent.

During the week leading up to World Cancer Day, the team at Morrisons Bude got involved by fundraising for CLIC Sargent, the store’s charity partner. Staff and customers helped to raise £991.50 from Monday, January 29, to Saturday, February 3.

Singer Geoff Davis made an appearance on the Wednesday and the Budehaven Steel Band also got involved in the store’s fundraising efforts.

On Sunday, February 4, World Cancer Day, the store had lifted their fundraising total to an astonishing £1,097.74. A tombola and a visit from Pikachu helped raise those extra pennies, and there was plenty of support shown by volunteers.

Nichola Wickenden, community champion for Morrisons Bude, said: “Thank you to our customers for their generosity.”
