AN exhibition of flowers and quilts was held in Bude Methodist Church on May 9, 10 and 11 and a sum of £1,010 was raised, which has been divided between Bude Methodist Church and Alzheimer’s Research.

The quilts were lent by the members of Parkhouse Patchwork group and the flowers were given and arranged by members of Bude Flower club.

The church had had a complete renovation last year allowing space for different activities to take place, and it was a wonderful background for the exhibition, according to organiser Jennifer Bond.

She said: “A very big thank you goes to everyone who helped in so many ways, and to all the visitors who came in, looking at the exhibition and sharing coffee and cakes. We had lots of great compliments, which made it all worth while.”
