A LAUNCESTON Cornwall Councillor has confirmed that more residents’ surgeries are in the pipeline.
Following her election win in May, Cornwall Councillor for Launceston Central, Gemma Massey (Lib Dem), has been working hard to support local residents on the key issues within Launceston.
Gemma has confirmed a new set of dates for a councillor surgery, and a new location for these sessions. These will now take place in the White Hart Hotel, one Friday of every month, offering local residents in Launceston the opportunity to book a time with Gemma to discuss their issues, concerns or ideas.
These surgeries will take place from 9.30am to 11.30am, and no appointment is necessary. Gemma hopes this regular setting, right in the heart of the town centre, will go on to increase her communication opportunity with local residents.
Gemma said: “I am thrilled to be able to offer a frequent surgery again within town; I ran some sessions last year, which were sadly not well-attended. I hope with this new day and venue, I will have the chance to speak to even more residents.
“This will, of course, not stop my continued one-to-one work with residents and groups within the town. This just gives a focus point each month for people to come forward with their concerns or problems, and share any achievements or successes with me, if they wish.”
Gemma will hold her first surgery at the White Hart Hotel, Launceston, on Friday, September 15.
