A WELL-earned drink at Camelford Liberal Club was given to Royal British Legion members who walked 25 miles for charity. Jackie Stevens, Kevin Grant, Chris Ferguson and a 13-year-old Morgan Williams walked from the RBL Club in Liskeard to Camelford on Sunday, September 21 to raise money for this year's Poppy Appeal. The team left Liskeard at 8am, walking to Golitha Falls then to Jamaica Inn, across Bodmin Moor stopping off at Rough Tor — the second highest point in Cornwall. After a short break, members arrived at Camelford Liberal Democrat Club around 5pm, met by members of Camelford RBL. Around £600 has been raised so far for the Poppy Appeal with still more to collect. For the full report, and a round-up of the area news and sport, see this week's edition of the Post.
