WORK to fix a four-inch burst main water pipe at Coronation Park, Launceston, was eventually carried out on Tuesday, after water had been escaping for two days.

Bob Ball, a resident of Penworth Close, spotted the leak — behind the Phoenix Leisure Centre — early on Saturday morning. He then contacted South West Water, but was told they couldn't do anything as it 'wasn't their line' and it was on private land.
