THE funeral for Launceston Town Councillor Val Bugden-Cawsey will be held at 11am on Tuesday, February 5 at Launceston Central Methodist Church.

A reception will take place after the service at Launceston Town Hall.

Val passed away at home on January 5 following a courageous battle against Malignant Melanoma.

It was her wish that her funeral service be seen as a celebration of life, and the wearing of bright colours would be most welcome.

A minute’s silence in memory of Val was held by the town council at the January 15 meeting.
