A BUDE-based company has taken the title of Cornwall's large manufacturer of the year.

Equipment manufacturer, Bott Ltd has was awarded the title at the inaugural Cornwall Manufacturers Group Awards.

The company, along with other applicants, was subject to a strict judging criteria, which saw judges go beneath the surface of the business to understand and observe the true performance of the company.

As a long term and committed supporter of the Cornwall Manufacturers Group, the company is proud of the contribution that manufacturing businesses make to the Cornish economy.

Chief executive officer at Bott, Clive Woodward said: "We've long believed in the importance of a strong manufacturing base for a successful a UK and indeed Cornish economy."
