MOGSY (Morag Ford) from Bude, successfully completed her 42 mile ultra marathon on Sunday, October 2 in memory of her close friend Bernadette Inniss from Holsworthy in 24 degrees heat!

Bernadette sadly passed away earlier this year just before her 42nd birthday, from a rare cancer of the sinuses.

Running a mile for each year of Bernadette's life, the marathon began at Bude Castle via Brooks Garden Centre, then Holsworthy Cemetery through Clawton to Homeleigh Garden Centre and back to Bude through various villages and eventually finishing at Elements Restaurant. Later, 42 lanterns were released over the sea.
