Full marks for the resurfacing work in Holsworthy's Square but zero marks for the imagination concerning the parking bays.

It was disappointing enough to lose the old cobbles but the opportunity to establish a herring-bone layout for the new bays has been ignored.

Kerbside parking means every day some drivers can be seen having great difficulty getting in and out of the centre bays set at right angles to the road. How much easier a herring bone layout would have been with no resulting reduction in the number of bays.

I wonder if the authority responsible ever considered this and if it did why wasn't it implemented? At best it can only be described as a missed opportunity.

Pyworthy.
