A MINUTE silence was observed at Holsworthy Town Council’s full meeting on September 5, to remember Torridge District Councillor Ken Carroll who died on August 28.

During the meeting Devon County Councillor Barry Parsons, who had worked alongside Ken on many projects for the area, said: “Ken did a wonderful job for Holsworthy Hamlets and the greater area.

“Along with the town clerk, myself and others, Ken played a vital role helping to push for the agri-business market we now have in this town — we achieved the dream and I take great pride in that and will always be indebted to Ken.”

He added: “And on a personal note, I will be deeply indebted to him for a long time for all the support he has given me over the years. He will be missed.”
