THE Under Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government, Communities Minister Don Foster, visited Bude and Camelford on Thursday, May 9.

Mr Foster met with local community groups to see the effects of the Localism Act. One of the key aims of the act is to encourage the transfer of powers from county authorities to town and parish councils and local communities to enable local people to have more say over the areas they live in.
