LAUNCESTON Tourist Information Centre hosted a book signing event for some newly published local authors on Saturday.

The anthology of short stories, entitled Mining for Words, celebrates the rich and varied culture and history of East Cornwall. One of the tales is based around the Town Mills area near Launceston and follows a life in the tannery industry which thrived there in Victorian times and family life by the River Kensey.
