THE Oksigen theatre’s ‘Midsummer Stumbles’ show, held in Launceston Town Hall this weekend, was hailed as an absolute triumph.
Cast member Emma Jane Lee, who played Lady Macbeth in this year’s performance, said: “The reviews and feedback were outstanding and people commented on how incredible the standard of acting, costumes, set, music, lighting, sound and props were.”
The mayor of Launceston,?Cllr Brian?Hogan, attended the Saturday night performance with the mayoress, Anita White, and joined the cast up on stage at the end for photographs.
Oksana Wroath directed the show, and came out on stage for the curtain call dressed in a creature cloak, with witch’s hair and make-up to surprise the cast, which, of course, it did!
The entire cast and production crew, all of whom are from the local area, were proud of their performances.
Emma said: “We are extremely proud of our performers from the youngest to the eldest, who gave goose bumps, chills and tears to our audiences, even to those who didn’t even know anyone performing in our shows it’s been reported.”
The theatre group will resume a new term of classes in January, in both Launceston and Bude, and will be celebrating their fifth year anniversary.
